Waiters

Position Overview:

Waiters or Waitresses are responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages to guests. Play an important role in guest satisfaction as they are also responsible for checking on customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware.
• Take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Facilitate the filling of drink orders between customers and the bar.
• Suggest additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks, when appropriate.
• Obtain amenities for patrons with specific needs, such as highchairs for parents.
• Serve food and drinks.
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.
